As a company, Shimano itself is legendary for its innovations and contributions to the world of cycling, many of which were first conceptualized as Dura-Ace features. That’s how long Dura-Ace has been at the forefront of cycling technology!

Why the DA20 is Only Available in Singapore
As mentioned above, only 20 units of the DA20 are available worldwide, and all 20 are ONLY available right here in Singapore!
Why so? Well, the DA20 is not a mainline Birdy model produced by Pacific Cycles, unlike models such as the R20. It’s actually fully customised by Mighty Velo and released to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
Our team at Mighty Velo have always been keen to push the envelope and expand the world of folding bikes. Thanks to collaborating with famous names such as Joseph Kuosac, we’ve produced unique, high-end Birdy models such as the JK11 that meet the diverse needs of discerning cyclists. These models are exclusively available at our store.
We decided that it’d be the perfect way to honor this legacy of ours is through another custom Birdy model and the latest expression of our passion for high-performance folding bikes. The DA20 is the result: a folding bike built not just to keep up with road bikes, but to outperform expectations in every ride.
Why We Won’t Be Selling the Birdy GV Plus
Perhaps having heard of our history of selling the highest-end Birdy models, some of you have asked about the Birdy GV Plus. That’s a new gravel-focused Birdy model. We won’t be stocking that model, as the manufacturer has chosen to sell the GV Plus directly to customers worldwide without going through distributors.
But that doesn’t mean Singaporean riders will miss out. Instead, we see this as an opportunity to create something just as exciting, if not even better.
Coming Soon: The Birdy Gravel Ultra
Soon, we’ll be proud to announce the launch of the Birdy Gravel Ultra — Mighty Velo’s own evolved, high-end version of the Birdy Gravel. This upcoming custom model will be a gravel-ready Birdy bike built for versatility and performance, designed to excel on Singapore’s terrain.
Without giving away too many details, here’s what you can expect:
- A Shimano 11-speed derailleur for reliable shifting on all terrains.
- Your choice of chainring size to match your riding style.
- A selection of tyres, whether you prefer gravel, road, or hybrid setups.
The Gravel Ultra will be more than a gravel bike. It will be a multi-purpose Birdy that handles park connectors, city roads, and light trails with ease — and, just like the DA20, it will be exclusive to Mighty Velo in Singapore.
